So I'm indulging in some personal posts this week. I have debated about when to post this because our Christmas cards will be anti-climatic now but it seems fitting to discuss family on the week of Thanksgiving. We got real family pictures taken this year! Thanks to Rachelle Kuntz, with sugarsnap photography, we have photos.( www.sugarsnapskc.com. ) She is friends with a former co-worker of mine and I had been admiring her work on Facebook. So I was thrilled when it worked out for her to photograph us.
Coordinating outfits is one of my least favorite things to do, which for someone who loves color and clothes and shopping this should be fun, it's not. Now you add in a 13 year old with very specific ideas on not only her outfit but how I look in mine and it's a challenge. We started with the one dress that fit me well and built from there :) It was a chilly morning, but doable, and we headed to the Kaufmann Center at 8:30am. A challenge for Vince. Despite our many tests, we seemed to prevail. The shoot was fun and fairly quick. We had a quick outfit change in the car and back at it. Dressed in our Halloween costumes we were Incredible! I was pretty sure the idea was fun, but it was confirmed when workers from Kaufmann stadium came out with their phone cameras and asked to get pictures with us. I do regret not pulling my hair out of the face mask, but better fluffing next time.
