I have the best and most supportive parents. It was proven when they let me transform their adequate, ok probably more than adequate kitchen, into a dream kitchen. My dad who never cooked while I lived at home, is now a gourmet chef and we did only the best appliances to make his masterpieces even better. The Wolf gas range was the star of the kitchen. It should be for the price tag. The custom cabinets turned out fantastic. The Silestone counter on the perimeter and granite island were only topped by Rohl's best polished nickel plumbing. It really is pretty. Which may explain why I've had my panties in a bunch about their new kitchen. The spec home has a range with wood appliqué on it that looks like it came out of the local craft store. I don't care for it all but no worries yet. My dad has opted out of the meeting with the builder and I'm going in his place. I'm still hopeful we can make adjustments to make the next kitchen. While it is paired down, their second can be a dream kitchen too. No one warn the builder I'm coming. So as a tribute to the kitchen I will always adore, here are some shots of my parents kitchen or at least their kitchen until April 14. Feel free to pin my work and share with all :) A little shameless self promotion sorry.
