Happy birthday Mom! Today's post is a slight break from decor to pay tribute to my mom. My mom is my not only my mom, but my friend, my business traveling partner, my confidant. She started my career when I was a kid and she dragged me to every antique store she could. At the time I found it all fairly boring. But I was quickly converted. I was the only 18 year old I knew that worked at the local antique store and relished in the fact I got a gift card for a Christmas bonus. She is also the reason Noble Designs exists. She called one day and said let's do THIS, then she gave me a loan (she declined loan payments) to go to Chicago and buy product so I could start Noble Designs. Together we hauled our s*&t to Jr. League Holiday Mart, Gamma Phi Antique, Home Decor Show, and a local church shopping holiday mart so I could sell product and my design services. From there my designs service continued to grow through word of mouth. If it weren't for her I don't think I would have made the jump. She's one of my biggest cheerleaders. Then for the icing on the cake she's fun. She loves her wine, which some nights gives her the giggles and makes her repeat stories, but the story gets more animated each time. She gave her support over the last year and half as my life had major changes. She was at my side with unfaltering encouragement and love. She cleans like no one else cleans. It's really quite impressive. She is an amazing Grandma. She's beyond pretty. I'm not sure she knows that last one but she is REALLY pretty. I love it all. So happy birthday Mom, cheers, I love you.
