Where to start! I obviously took a long break from blogging for the holidays. And now I have so much to share. So I have decided to do a quick overview of everything and then we'll dig into details later. So this is a little more personal than design but it sets me up for some good design blogs to come.
I had the best holiday! I'm getting use to my new normal which is not that new :) We had the best time with the kids. They were fun and we enjoyed our gifts. I got the family a trip for this summer and photo booth with props. I say photo booth lightly because really it's a pole system that holds a sheet and then 3 large light bulbs on stands but it's really cool. We took it to my parents for our Christmas celebration and had the best time with it. Then we packed it up for our celebration with Vince's family. I love it. So today I'll share some pics from it. If you are friends with me on Facebook this may be a little redundant but I can't help but share.
Christmas day the kids were with their Dad so I slept in which I haven't done in probably 13 years. Then Vince made an amazing meal for my brother and parents. So while it's not ideal to not have the kids that day it was a really nice day. How often do you get to do an adults meal with your immediate family? Not often so it really was another great celebration. We sang the rest of the night away. I'm the worst singer but I love trying. Our little duets remind me of the SNL skit where the couple goes to middle school and does a singing performance. Watch out kids, we may take ours on the road and Chisholm is our first stop.
Oh but the party doesn't stop there. I had a milestone birthday. Wait, I know you were thinking "her kids are too old for her to be 30". It's hard to believe but I'm 40! This birthday actually didn't rock my world like 30. I still find it hard to believe but I feel good and wasn't a bit sad. Which may be because I got the world's best birthday present. Vincent got plane tickets for me and two of my best friends to go to New York City and a hotel for an extended weekend. We flew out on my birthday. So there was no time to be sad, it was the best weekend! I also got a cake with 40 candles that about burned down the house, the standard Cook balloon bouquet and great gifts. A special dinner with my favorite couple topped off the big celebration.
And then last week I was back to work :) It was about time, too many days off makes my heart patter. My ADD kicks in and I have to get moving. And was I ever moving so the blog got put off one more week.
The break gave me great material though so I have New York inspired design to share, we have a new before and after photographed and ready for showcasing, my favorite pics from Target, and more so stay tuned for a great information in 2015. Noble Designs is on the move and as we expand to bring you better product and service in 2015 I am grateful for the clients and work in 2014 which proved to a successful year full of fun projects. So cheers to 2015!
Watch out Ellie and Drew, I'm rehearsing.
