So last week you got a taste of the Pfeister home and now for dessert! Finishing this basement was so much fun! It is such a joy to have clients that not only listen to my wild hair ideas but then implement them!!! As you know from previous posts I'm obsessed with black, but when we completed this project it wasn't popping up everywhere, so it was a bold move to do dark charcoal walls. I also wanted to do floating shelves and a bench on the fireplace. Again not cookie cutter but it turned out awesome.
There are so many fun details in this space. We did a built-in bench that got a fun wood appliqué on the front for some detail and it referenced the shape of the sconces above. The nook got a functional desk space. The hallway is illuminated by a series of scalloped drum lights. The bathroom is classic marble and white subway. There is a secret bookcase door that leads to unfinished space. Barn doors create interest for the entrance to the workout area. I'm really happy with how the entire space turned out. It helps immensely to have clients with style and great ideas that led us to this masterpiece. Of course blindly trusting me helps too. :) Happy Tuesday!
